@hisredrighthand5212 I have read carefully your well thought out response. You are right, "subsidize" is the wrong word. Russia negotiates long term contracts at a fixed rate. When the price of gas increases, you get cheap gas. Russia's gas is a state monopoly; whereas, in the US its a private commodity controlled by finance speculators. Fixed gas contracts benefits the budget planners...they don't need to maximize profits.
For Turkey, they should begin to plan a chemical industry as Germany's chemical industry is going bankrupt. Let us not forget the attempted coup against Erdogan.
Being isolated from the West for Turkey only matters if China obeys US's boycott, it won't. Anyway, "Western" investors bring interference and corruption, so isolation is not a bad thing for Turkey. It will join the Belt and Road, and get infrastructure projects from China.
China discovered a very large gas field. Those will be for China's strategic reserve.
Once the US realizes its mistake with Venezuela, and lifts the embargo on Venezuelan oil and gas, 3,000,000 barrels per day can flood the market, and lower the price of energy and thus inflation.
