  4. Casrv Sfv You have made an equivalancy among the US, Russia and China, but you fail to apply proportionality. The US and NATO represent 75% of world military power. The US alone spends 50% of the planet's annual military expenditures, and if you include the entire world which is in the ''so called western camp'' then I will say it is about 80%. This includes countries like Israel, Saudi Arabia, Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Indonesia and Egypt. This is a huge military alliance with the US. So, where is there the equivalence? Do you really believe that Russia want to conquer the world or does it not want to repeat the 26 million Soviet citizens killed in WWII? Think about it.  It is true that China and Russia does things too as you said, but it is reacting to NATO expansion. NATO is an aggressive military alliance. Its function is to project military power, and to protect the financial capitalism and the private capital and its economic elites.

The Germans were at the height of their military power in 1942 when the Battle of Stalingrad began after a series of German victories. Moreover there were one million soldiers on each side, and they both fought to the end. Whereas, in D-Day was in 1944 and the Soviet Union was already approaching Germany, and Germany was already defeated. The Soviets had already ripped the guts out of the German Army by the time we invaded Normandy. The German army had recruited child soldiers and put them with little training at their Western Front. None the less, the Allied Forces met stiff German resistance. In no way D-Day is a greater battle than Stalingrad. Stalingrad made D-Day possible for the Americans.

As to who shot down the plane, NATO is very quiet about it. The Ukrainian Air force will not release the transcripts from the military air traffic controllers. The issue of the voluntary nature of the Ukraine's incorporation into NATO is hardly "voluntary".
