  2. He didn’t fear for his life. He saw it was an aggressive response and didn’t like it. Because he was old and no match for a younger taller fitter man he wanted to use his gun. It was only about pride. I can’t believe anyone can just shoot someone over something thrown that can’t harm you and say self defense.
