  1. Ellen wanted to leave and go back to her parent’s. She wanted a break and to figure out her life. She was unhappy and overwhelmed at her teaching job. The fiancé got enraged that she was leaving him and did that to her. The latter is my opinion, now that he even lied about something as simple as the guard being with him.
