I grew up around there, the cliffs are mostly made of sand a little dirt and very little rock. Even as a child I knew it was dangerous to even be near those cliffs and kept my distance. I feel for these people but at the same time it was most definitely avoidable. People need to keep there distance from these cliffs, don't even walk near them.

I grew up around there during the 60's and 70's and even as a child I knew those cliffs were dangerous and I always kept my distance. I don't know why they would setup there picnic area next to those cliffs, it just baffles me...

As a child I grew up around there, and even as child I notice the cliffs are made mostly of sand and dirt and very little rock and it was a crumbly. I always kept my distance from them because I knew that they could give way at any moment. This is a terrible tragedy but it was also avoidable.

Mercury Grand Marquis . That was Fallbrook and those people are long gone, because they started disappearing back in the late 70's and early 80's. Mostly what we have around San Diego county is dumbass kids painting swastikas and other vile crap with the occasional nutter that goes off like any other county in the nation. Heck I live in an apartment complex with a mixture of Middle Eastern folks and Hispanic people and we have like block parties every other weekend and two weeks ago we celebrated one of the Middle Eastern men getting his citizenship and his daughters birthday. What I am saying those old days of hatred are pretty much over with.
