Some of us live in areas that have had riots, and protests that have turned violent. I sure in hell want something more than a bolt action or handgun when crap hits the fan.

It is nearly impossible in just about all states to walk in nowadays and just buy any weapon without ID. By the way, technically by doing background checks and showing ID actually goes against the 2nd Amendment Rights.

  3. Force Times Distance Equals ? Torque. I will tell you what is crazy, overlooking failures by law enforcement and the FBI, and pointing fingers at the NRA. The Sheriff refuses to step down after such a massive failure, and yet I don't see any protesting in front of the Sheriffs Dept. over it.

  8. Ashley Barlowe. Do you even comprehend why the Second Amendment follows the First Amendment, or do you just ignore that and hope for the best? Did you know that it is estimated in the last century alone, that over 56 million people died, because they were unable to defend themselves, and some died at the hands of their own government... While you pile on the God stuff, which I don't buy anyways, because our founding fathers knew exactly what they were doing when they wrote the Second Amendment, and it was more about citizens controlling their government than the government controlling them, which when you make that comparison of other western nations, you do realize most of those people are called subjects for a very good reason. They have phony baloney rights, that whenever the government wants to take those phony rights away, they can, and the people can't do anything to stop it. Is that what you want, to live in a world in which the government knows what's best for you? If you think the days of that being over with, then you are seriously ignoring the fact as long as people are power hungry, they will continue to take from others, even if it means taking their lives. But sadly I think eventually you will get your way in the long run, but I am also pretty sure, especially if you are young, you will live to regret it, because whenever people are murdered or robbed and were unable to defend themselves, it will be blood on your hands.

  9. Ashley Barlowe. Wow, you really were not paying attention in history. Time and time again people have proven they can beat the odds. Afghanistan, Vietnam, just to name a couple, not to mention do you think all of our military would only pick one side? Sure did not happen during the civil war, in fact the South almost beat the North early on. Not to mention the military doesn't make the hardware, that comes down to civilians, which if some pick the other side, then it won't be a pretty sight. But being honest, I am not all that concerned about the government, compared to my fellow citizens. Ever been stuck in the middle of a riot, I have had to deal with it twice in my life, in fact after the first riot, is when I got my first assault rifle, now up until then, I had guns, but nothing that would handle large groups of pissed off people. By the way, how are you going to handle the thugs that you just empowered by making us sheep for the slaughter? You going to hire millions of cops to handle each block in cities, because that is what it will come down too? I feel sorry for you, because you never studied history, or you would know why banning or taking guns away is not the answer.

  10. Both Vietnam and Afghanistan fought far superior countries when it came to weapons, but somehow were able to win. Also our founding fathers made sure we don't have to live in a doomsday scenario, by including the Second Amendment to protect people from exactly that from happening. Out of curiosity, do you know how Hitler rose to power? Germany was a shithole after WW1, and Germans began to lose it, Hitler promised the German people a way out, and used their anger to his advantage. While you point out how great the western world is, let me remind you, that those western countries people are subjects that have zero power and can do nothing if things in their countries turns to liquid feces, they are at the mercy of others. These subjects could overnight be forced into gas chambers, and there is nothing anybody can do for them, other than say sorry, you shouldn't have given up your guns. The Left is already beginning to open the country up to a dictatorship, by proving they are not tolerant of others through violent protests. I personally do not want a bunch of thugs telling me the facts of life while robbing me or worse, because you are afraid of living in a doomsday world.

  13. It is called 2nd Amendment rights, which if you notice that the 2nd Amendment is there to back up your 1st Amendment rights. Adding more laws or regulations will destroy the purpose of the 2nd Amendment.

In the last century it is estimated that over 50 million people were killed because they were unable to defend themselves, and some lost their lives at the hands of their own government... Sorry about what happened to the school, but I will be damned before I give up my citizenship to be a subject.

  15. BernieYohan. There is some problems, Law Enforcement and the FBI were warned of the shooter's behavior ahead of time and were called out numerous times. More or less it is one thing if they were called out on a domestic disturbance, but it is another thing when the shooter is acting crazy, and telling people crazy stuff.

Trust me, when that goes down, you most definitely don't want a bolt action or a handgun, you want something with more clout that can handle those angry and scared people.
