The Watchful Hunter. First off do you even know anything about commercial trucking? Right off the bat, it is Federally regulated, the states only give you the DL to drive, but the feds run the show, and the feds are very serious about following regulations and usually most trucking companies stay within federal guidelines, meaning the front axel on tractors usually have new tires, not retreads like the rest of the tractor and trailer does. If that is not enough for you, both states and feds run checkpoints, and even weigh stations do inspections, which I have been personally shut down for just minor things such as a loose bolt on a air-tank. The odds are this was just one of those rare occasions that the driver was not at fault, because most of the time it is the drivers fault. This accident is just comes down to the old saying of "shit happens," and there is nothing anyone could have done to prevent it.
