Here in California they can get fake drivers licenses that actually looks like the real deal, so who is at fault here? They probably lied on their applications and gave false I.D.s so what can employers do about it, NOTHING.

@luisdominguez6617 California spends over 20 billion per year on illegal immigration, and only receives back in the way of taxes a third of that 20 billion from illegal immigrants. San Diego county where I live spends over a billion on illegal immigrants in a year. San Diego along with the governor of California just announced they are going to offer humanitarian aid to the asylum seekers 50 million bucks. Interesting, because I have homeless all around me, and as of lately the cops have been harassing them and taking all their stuff away, so where is there humanitarian aid? Mind you they are U.S. citizens. Fact the fence along San Diego county had a major impact after it was built on cutting down on border violence which was pretty scary at one point, and it also dropped illegal immigration and forced a lot of illegal immigrants out to our Eastern desert. @luisdominguez6617 You do realize there are already laws on the books about hiring illegal immigrants, but neither side is willing to enforce those laws and why Trump wants to build a wall to circumvent both sides of isle that are establishment sellouts. Democrats and Republicans have sold out the country long ago all in the name of greed, and this is why they are fighting Trump on the wall, because a wall they can't control and it effectively curves illegal immigration, illegal drugs, and cuts serious crime down at the border. How do I know this, because I live here in San Diego that built the fence along the border. Before the fence was built, border crime was out of control, illegal immigration was out of control and large amount of narcotics were being transported across the border just by walking across the border just about anywhere. After the fence, the border crime dropped significantly, illegal immigration was pushed out into our East county desert, and when it comes to narcotics, the smugglers are forced to use ports of entry. More caravans are coming, and the migration North will only continue to get worse, and those folks are going to become more and more desperate to get into the country, the border patrol can't hold them back with just a fence and barriers, they need something more solid like a wall, and even the border patrol supports a wall, and they should know better than most because they work the front lines, not some idiot actor supposedly giving unbiased information and calling it news from a teleprompter. While the media comes out and say all this crap that walls don't work, but when they get off work and head home they have walls or fences surrounding their property and locked doors, and when they go in, they lock everything up. They are for the most part hypocrites that don't even believe in the shit they are saying to the public. This is a pivotal moment in our country's history, whether we continue down this path which we all know will eventually lead to the whole country becoming a third world ghetto, or we try to protect the country by building a wall and at least say we tried, even if it fails.

@luisdominguez6617 The president doesn't make laws nor can he really enforce them, that is up to Congress to enforce those laws. Remember the Presidents main job is to defend the United States from foreign attacks or invasions. Whenever Presidents decide to change things without congress approval, they are technically breaking the laws of our constitution. Perfect example was Obama doing the DACA thing, which will eventually land in the Supreme Court and we all know that when they actually take it on, they will find the decision Obama made was unconstitutional and will end it. Luckily for DACA recipients they got a reprieve this year from the Supreme Court, but next year they might not get it. Bottom line Trump can't enforce laws without congressional support, which includes both the Senate and the House and that is why Trump has to go about it with a wall, which takes the security of the country out of congressional hands. Oh on the matter of people building fences has very little to do with privacy compared to security. I mean I see chain link fences all over the place and that doesn't do a thing for privacy. On the matter of drugs the wall would still cut down on the amount coming into the country, just like it will cut down illegal immigration. I believe the wall will help Latin American countries by forcing the people to stay and fight for changes in their countries instead of running away from them is why I want the wall.

@luisdominguez6617 Logic and commonsense rules that the situation at the border will never end, or even get better. Neither side wants to stop the cheap slave labor that is coming across our border because their masters want their cheap slave labor at taxpayers expense, and this is why a border wall is needed. "No fence is going to prevent a thief from braking into a house." Schools build fences, mostly chain link no less, so apparently they do not care about privacy. Most government installations, such as military bases use fences which are mostly chain link "again, no privacy." Prisons have walls and fences to keep the convicted within. They built a fence on the border here in San Diego and it has done wonders to cut border crime and slowing down illegal entry into the country. The fence also made it harder on the cartels to bring drugs in, so they have to use other methods or take a risk at a ports of entry. Wouldn't you say that cutting off one loophole is better than leaving it open? Border Patrol supports a wall, and they are the ones working the frontline, so I will take their word over some Lefty/Liberal dumbass politician word any day of the week. I am going to be honest with you and tell you, there is only two choices, we either build a wall, or we give up on the United States and open our borders to all, because there is no in-between.

Our politicians have sold us out, they won't even offer Trump another solution, because they want the border to remain open, because the number one illegal immigrants in the country is Latin Americans and that is a fact. The majority of them did not fly in, or drive across or even take a boat, they came by foot. Border Patrol doesn't incarcerate illegal immigrants, they catch and release so they can keep trying until they make it a cross. I know of one illegal that was busted for a DUI, they deported him, well after 6 attempts he finally made it back here. We have laws on our books against employers hiring illegal immigrants, yet our government refuses to prosecute these employers, and then you have states like California and New Mexico that are throwing out the red carpet for them while ignoring their own less fortunate citizens. No matter what the situation is going to get worse, not better on the border, and I don't see any other way of stopping or just slowing it down without building a wall, because the people we elect refuse to do their jobs, which had they did do their jobs, there would be no reason to build a wall. All congress has to do is sour the milk, and nobody would be coming here. No jobs. No welfare. and no automatic citizenship being born to illegal parents, and that is all congress has to do to end Trump's BS wall, so why won't they do it?

I don't think you getting, Congress if they wanted to, could end the wall debate come Monday morning, by making E-Verify mandatory, prosecuting employers, and going after states and cities that are rolling out the red carpet for illegal immigrants. Even the Supreme Court with Trump's appointees are ignoring DACA this year, even know the Supreme Court knows that DACA is illegal, and is one of the reasons we are having the current problems on the border with the caravans.

@luisdominguez6617 How many more decades are we going to talk about E-Verify? We have already been discussing this for decades and Congress still refuses to implement it. Why would Trump "waste" our time and his time if congress won't do it to begin with? Why won't congress enforce our immigration laws that are already on the books? The reason I voted for Trump is because I am tired of the lies and false promises coming from both the Left and the Right, and the border has been a crisis for decades with them still not wanting to do anything about it.

How do you know it won't work, when I live here in San Diego and the fence along the border has worked out great? I am getting to think that you are for open borders...

Congress has been listening and doing nothing to prevent Trump from taking this drastic action of declaring an emergency at the border. Look I can understand you disliking Trump, but don't dump this on his lap, when it has been congress failing for decades and even Obama making the border situation worse. I mean what do you expect when Obama does DACA without preparing the border of an onslaught of immigrants wanting a better future for themselves and their children and the notion is if you get into the United States they will not only support you and your family, but they won't kick you out even if you an illegal. In a sense it was Democrats that caused this current crisis on the border, not Trump.

@luisdominguez6617 Funny you mention Reagan... He promised in the exchange for amnesty, he would secure our border, and then congress reneged. Funny how both parties screw us over, and then blame the opposite party for it. In all honesty, I do believe a wall will have to be built to maintain the country's sovereignty, whether it be by Trump or someone else it will have to be done before it is too late.

@luisdominguez6617 . I don't remember Trump getting a medical license? Come on, what is he supposed to do, tell doctors what they can or cannot prescribe? Then their is also patient rights, which has big powerful organizations that will lobby in behalf of patients and the elderly. Ever hear the joke of a congressman's worse nightmare? AARP! AARP! AARP!. Hell, I never even held Obama responsible over this situation even know it is very sad. I am saying is that I am not perfect, but I don't hold others accountable for my mistakes in life or them interfering with other folks rights even know it is meant to help them or me. This is the individuals responsibility and if they want help there are plenty of folks out there willing to help them. My past experience taught me that if they don't want the help, it is pointless trying to force it on them.

@Kate Conner I live here in San Diego and I see the same thing, and what gets to me, is that own less fortunate citizens have to share the resources that was actually meant for them with these people. I have homeless people, both women and men and sometimes children sleeping out on the sidewalks around my apartment. I find this absolutely intolerable, and it makes me sick to see this, while California caters to these people who are definitely costing us more than they are giving back. Another one that gets me is people coming across that you are some kind of loser if you have to compete against an illegal for a job, I always reply to those A-Holes not everyone can be a doctor, engineer or a airline pilot, some just want to work and contribute to society, and they shouldn't have to compete against illegal immigrants in their own country. Sad times we live in, and unfortunately Pelosi will probably make it worst, because she has come out already declaring war on Trump, instead of trying to work with him. Even Border Patrol has said they can't handle a mass invasion with the current barriers at the border, and need something more like a wall and yet Pelosi isn't even listen to the people that defend our front lines.

@brokenking5044 If you have ever read my comments, you would know I slam both sides, and I most certainly cannot stand the Bush family. And being honest with you, I don't feel sorry for the Republican establishment sellouts losing the house to the Democrats. They could have done so much more proving their loyalty to the country, but instead did nothing. The wall should be nearly completed by now, and even the border patrol is saying they need a better structure to stop mass invasions because the current fence is not good enough.
