  2.  @agp9844 . OPEC trades with the U.S. dollar for oil. What would happen if they dropped the dollar for oil and started trading oil with the Euro instead? There are many economist that believe Saddam was going to do just that drop the dollar for the Euro and why we invaded Iraq because it is that serious.

  4. Ah, people still bitching about the Saudis. When will any of you complainers take an economics course and learn that Saudi has a choke hold over us because of our own greed for cheap crap led to that choke hold. Saudis = OPEC. Piss off OPEC they drop the dollar for oil, and because the American dollar is used around the world it will take a nose dive and here at home it would even make 9-11 look like a joke compared to what happens next. Millions would lose their jobs, unemployment rate would jump higher than anytime in history, not to mention inflation would skyrocket. Imports and trade would come to almost a stand still. Global trade and greed doesn't work out to well without a manufacturing backbone to turn to when feces hits the fan.
