  2. Higher Soul. I understand your point, but no matter what, it still encourages illegal immigration. The thing is, I can't blame them, they have children born into poverty with no future and they see a chance of coming to the U.S. were they know their children will be educated and have a brighter future, I would be packing my bags and grabbing my kid(s) and headed to the U.S. ASAP.

  3. DudeWatches. What you call the "system" is called laws. Those laws are put in place to protect citizens not to aid or reward people for breaking those laws, whether they be citizens or not. I don't mind you wearing your heart on your shirt sleeves, but the problem is, you are not the only one paying for it, a lot of taxpayers get stuck paying for it, whether they want to or not. The education, and other things are not free, and in some cases it can deprive our own less fortunate citizens of their needs. Bottom line, encouragement is not the solution.

  4. Raul Gonzalez. Ronald Reagan already did that with his amnesty, and promising that illegal immigration won't happen again. This is why so many are against amnesty, because just like DACA, it is raising the white flag and telling the rest of the world we can't enforce our immigration laws. Also I know Mexico is not the only country coming here illegally, we have Asians, Latin Americans Africans and of course Europeans also coming here illegally.

  5. saxyvi. BS! They get all kinds of help, especially from higher education. (Bleeding heart colleges.) Even heard complaints coming from young people that have been bypassed even know they had better grade point average over DACA students. Your student was probably the exception out of the majority. Plus what's this garbage about paying for a CNA class? Because just about every state offers free courses for CNA including many hospitals and nursing homes.

  7. R Ma. History is a beautiful thing, but there is a big difference between today and yesterday, and why you can't change the past, but you can change the future. Please don't fret over the past, especially on a map that was made over a hundred years ago, because the world has changed a lot since then.

I am troubled on how many don't believe that DACA does not encourage illegal immigration when just in the last few years has helped encourage thousands to come here illegally. Have we all forgotten the thousands of children that showed up on our border, that weren't even from Mexico, but from another Latin American country were their parents sent their children on what many consider a very dangerous journey to reach the United States? Have we all forgotten this controversy that made national news through protest on both sides? You all telling me that DACA had zero influence in the parents decision to send their children on this dangerous journey?

  9. Raul Gonzalez. And where were they running to? The U.S. Why not seek sanctuary in Mexico or other neighboring countries? Because we are the ones offering incentives (DACA.) to come here illegally.

Don't know what your point is, but still the bottom line is DACA encourages illegal immigration and that is a fact.

  11. agentorange20. Problem is that they don't want to leave in come in the right way, they want us to cater to them while legal immigrants have to do it the hard way. Worst part, because DACA encourages illegal immigration we will have to deal with those future illegal children. Hell kids from Latin American countries are already showing up at our borders, and I guess we got to give them DACA also...
