  3. What about the transmission? Twice ours has shifted with a jerk when shifting down at very low speed. Also, can you program keys?

  4.  @TheCarCareNut  Well, we're in central Eastern Pennsylvania. That's a rather long drive to your location. We have an extended warranty that expires in approximately 4,000 miles. If something is failing in the tranny it would be nice to get it resolved before then.

  5.  @TheCarCareNut  I would appreciate that. I'm not sure I could trust the dealer to do the right thing. They could find a problem with a tech stream scanner and not own up to it. But if I already know there's a problem, this device could give me the advantage. So that might make it worth the $469 investment.

  7. I'm sure it can access that information but I don't think it would work well to monitor it full time. I have a scan gauge on our 2009 RAV4 that does give me ATF temperature when I'm driving. In the summer our transmission is 10 to 20⁰ F hotter than it should be.
