  1. Re: engine coolant... When you say five years or fifty thousand miles is that for a flush and refill or is it for a simple drain and refill and do you have a video demonstrating the procedure? The owner's manual simply says "Replace Engine Coolant". It doesn't say anything about flushing. I'm thinking that's why the refill is only good for 50,000 miles or five years instead of 100,000 miles or ten years like the factory fill I don't get why the original factory fill of coolant is good for 100,000 miles but subsequent refills are only good for 50,000 miles. Our 2009 RAV4 has less than 72,000 miles on it but it's over 10 years old and I don't know for sure when it may have been replaced previously. It could have been replaced just before we bought it cause it was 10 years old then.
