  1. We have a friend in Salem, Missouri who has a 2006 4Runner. He is not in the rust belt. His has 332,000 miles on it. He changes the oil regularly but has never done anything with the transmission and it's still running fine. I just did a drain and fill of the ATF on our 2009 RAV4 which as just over 100,000 miles on it. However, the transmission only has 36,000 miles on it because the original tranny was replaced by the Toyota dealer due to a defect. The cost of replacement was paid in full by an aftermarket warranty.

  2. I plan on doing the same thing IF we ever need the ATTi actuator replaced on our 2009 RAV4 but it should be good for another 50,000 miles. I just changed my own ATF last week.

  3.  @JW-nf2jr  Problem is he doesn't service vehicles outside his local area. I tried to get him to work on my car without success. I guess he's busy enough with his local customers.
