My Dad once told me that he cared too much about his job and not enough about his career. It's possible I've fallen into the same trap. However, I do still have my integrity and sleep well at night.

There is a balance to be had. What you have to teach your son is to stick up for himself and not to expect anyone else to.

@markwelch3564 I wrote nothing about "demanding loyalty" or "only looking out for yourself". It's about managing expectations, transparency, consistency, integrity, and having boundaries; not being a door matt. There is a huge difference between being nice and being good.

@seriousmaran9414 true. However, in my experience right wingers don't seem to care about truth. They say things like "the ends justifies the means" and by ends they often mean their house prices continuing to go up and poor people staying poor.

A fitting end for Boris Johnson would be to fall off a yacht after suffering from very painful gout. I'm not saying that I wish that on him... just that it would be fitting.

I think the idea is that if Johnson was a remainer he wouldn't have been investigated. Brexiteers have a massive victim complex.
