3:32 equally, the same people who complain about the smears against Starmer cheered the smears against Corbyn. Personally, I complain about both.

@nickbrooks3054 they are victims of the "anti-government" propoganda spread for decades by the billionaire owned media. They have been trained like dogs not to see taxation of billionaires or strong public institutions as a solution. They think regulation is the problem despite the huge problems caused by light regulation of coorporations, e.g. PFOA, opioids, lead, CFCs etc.

@percussion44 they are using fascism in the sense of Umberto Eco which is associated with traditionalism, pro-hierarchy, and pro-authorotarian. Left and right originally refers to where people sat in the house and whether they sided with the workers (left) or king and asset owners (right). Left and right are therefore associated with who controls the means of production. Those on the right were very much pro-tradition and pro-hierarchy whereas those of the left were more progressive and egalitarian (and against the accumulation of wealth due to inheriting/owning/stealing land and in turn exploiting actual workers).

Part of the problem is that the "left" wing candidates are neoliberals so they aren't much more interested in talking about higher taxation of coorporations or public investment (health and infrastructure) any more than the right wing ghouls.
