  1. Am I the only person who thinks mining the moon is a very, very bad idea? As a biologist, I am painfully aware of how life on earth is heavily dependent on the moon's gravity. Digging out its insides could change its mass and therefore its orbit, which would be disastrous for us. The moon is already leaving us very, very slowly, about an inch per year. I really don't think we should be messing with it.
