@vince225566 Oh yeah, tons easier. What with the war, no technology, the cold war, Vietam and all that.

@lordblazer Then you're an exception. :) My mother taught English too, 1st through 5th grade, and she gave spelling tests as well but year after year the results grew worse and worse. And many, many of my younger colleagues have atrocious grammar and they all tell me the same thing: "Who cares"? Uh, your hiring manager, for one, folks.

@redwolf481 No dear, I'm describing you. Thanks for illustrating my point nicely. :) Oh, and it's "you're". Another good illustration if the illiteracy of the Millennials.

@lordblazer I've got good friends in Perth. I am so there.

@pookiewood Pookie, "you" are not the same as "we". Just because you're a hard worker does not mean that everyone in your generation is. But for what it's worth, I have total respect for you and your dedication. :)

Guilty. Most of it has to do with how they apply themselves with their education. A lot of Millennials don't feel spelling and grammar is important. It's not just that they're BAD at it, but they honestly don't give two shits to learn. That infuriates me.

@scottandrewhutchins I'm with Barbara. Most people in the workforce know better than to think that their job is done when they finish the single task handed to them.

@tealovetreeheart Then you're a rare breed, Tealove. :/ But I have mad respect for you, all the same!

@NerfTheBrightWizards LOL! Wow, you totally got me. I meant to write "spelling OR grammar" but I failed. Epically. I still stand by my statement, though. When I see things like "wearhouse" and "I worked their for 2 years" on nearly every resume I see, there's a huge problem.

@KH517 another stark trait of the Millennials: Complete and total aversion to taking the blame for their shortcomings. It's the parents' fault, it's the education system's fault, it's the government's fault. Le Sigh.
