  1. And us Saxon-descended whites all feel rather jealous, believe me. :p Although I think a lot of that has to do with diet, though. Since I married my Vietnamese honey we eat a lot more traditional foods and I've noticed my skin has cleared up almost completely. Many Asian cultures don't really consume a lot of sugar and do eat a lot of lean meats, vegetables and spices, and consume red meat sparingly.

Yvonne de Rooij  I agree that ANY kind of body-shaming is deplorable, but there are some people who genuinely need help, and oftentimes offering said help is brusquely regarded as the same thing, when that's not the case. "Eat a burger" = body shaming. Saying "Hey, I noticed you throw away your lunch the past three days...is everything okay? You can talk to me." = not.

  3. This makes me really sad...even if she DID have an eating disorder, doesn't it make more sense to offer help rather than to punish her for it? Wouldn't that just make the issue worse?
