The Angel is the vaporized soldiers, the reason the ADA is spreading special trees/causing Wonderland to enter the real world is cuz they mistakenly think it will evict the Horned Serpent (the thing Maya and her brother saw briefly underground at the Maize HQ) and therefore save the world, but this ends up destroying it instead. That is the thing that "hasn't been fed". We see this happen in the final episode, although that came out after your upload. The timeline thing is accurate. I think the faceless man is supposed to be the humanoid special tree?
