  1. Fun fact: in the US, nurses are paid so little, and treated so badly, that NO ONE wants to go into nursing as a career. That's why we have a crisis of nurse shortages (as well as teachers and several other key job roles). As a result, the only people going into nursing tend to have no other option. And they know they aren't going to be fired, because the health care industry is desperate to retain nurses. So you have an entire career full of awful people, who have no business being responsible for the care of sick and injured people, acting out because they know they aren't going to lose their jobs over it. It's no surprise that a nurse could exhibit this much cruelty. That's how far the American healthcare system has sunk.
