Welcome to america.
6
It's not just that. It's convergent evolution. We destroyed the wolves, leaving a massive gap in the food chain, one which the coyotes were happy to fill. They grew bigger, stronger, bolder, more wolf-like.
6
Celebrity culture, that's why. We deify people for doing nothing of any importance, and so then everyone wants to be worshipped for doing nothing, either.
6
@alistercat Right? "Well you see Johnny, the reason you don't have a grandma is because we wanted to show off how happy we are you're not a girl!"
6
Two idiots, in this case. See, this is why women tend to live longer than men XD
6
I used to be a belly dancer, and this makes me miss it cuz this would be a great song to do a routine to!
5
I will never understand why ANYONE would want to emulate Chills. The way he talks is nine kinds of obnoxíous.
5
That's the best way I've ever heard anyone describe white America 😂
5
@gkess7106 That's because an idiot kid ran after candy and got pulled under the wheel of a float.
5
@sarahwatt9208 Same reason they couldn't get him out when he was alive. It's simply not possible.
5
I'd probably throw a napkin or something equally useless, then just stare at it as it fluttered harmlessly to the ground.
5
The worst part of this is the pilot got off scot free.
5
Agreed. Humanity is the worst thing ever to happen to the planet.
5
Huh. I actually went to that theater often when I lived in London. I had no idea the location had such a dark past.
5
@hollyj3601 Oof. Yeah, I learned the same lesson. My first concert was A Perfect Circle, and I was NOT prepared for stage rush!
4
You're not wrong.
4
Yup. I was unable to breathe in my own house, you never forget that awful, awful smell. It's not like a campfire. It's like an oily, parched, strangely chemically smell that makes your lungs burn and your stomach want to empty its contents. No matter how many wet towels I wedged under the doors or air purifiers I had running, it was never enough.
4
The internet is not going to help with that. I'm in a similar situation, I've been lonely and I'm terrible at going outside and actually talking to people, but the more you refuse to try, the worse you'll be at it. Find an interest, go to game nights at local comic/game shops, join a forum in a topic you like and organize a meetup, etc. If there's nothing like that physically near you then do the same over zoom. Yes it's easier said than done, but it can be done. People aren't going to reach out to you if you do nothing but sit around hoping to be contacted. Communication goes two ways.
4
Same reason why I laugh at anyone who says "if I had been there, I'd have done something!" LOL no, no you wouldn't, mate.
4
Because they are.
4
@Alex_Was_Taken I'm with you. It's outrageous how everyone in here thinks the guy who actually operated the gondola is completely innocent. That's like saying drunk drivers are innocent because "they didn't know they were going to have an accident". He was the one who overrode the safety, he was the one who caused the accident. Carlo and his colleagues were jailed, and rightfully so.
4
It's more upsetting when you realize they the park cares more about profits than honouring the dead. If they put a plaque, people won't want to use the ride, and they'll see the tiniest, tiniest drop in attendance. But even that's too much for them to want to risk. So much for the people who died because of their negligence.
4
The space looked absolutely beautiful, but yeah, it's clear that thing wasn't gonna hold. :/
4
Eyyyy, my name's Amy too! Sorry about your uncle. I'm far more worried about all the local fauna. Every last wildlife rescue and vet clinic was probably inundated with animals who had intestinal blockages from trying to eat the colorful downed balloons.
4
I was wondering when you'd cover this. Of all industrial accidents, this one horrifies me the most.
3
@amandaallen5038 And to think, the american people want to go back to the dark times before we had those regulations.
3
Alonso is criminally negligent. That's all there is to it.
3
That's infuriating.
3
Who would be so stupìd and reckless to do this to the environment?!
3
🤦♀️
3
@hotelmario510 No. It's not "the minority" , it's most of us.
3
This one pisses me off way more than most other incidents covered on this channel. These people should riot. PEOPLE HAVE DIED and the government did nothing!
3
Is it any surprise the cops refused to investigate?
3
@Rose_Castle I disagree. The analogy still stands, and like it or not, he still is the one who threw the switch against his better judgement. It's perfectly reasonable to jail him, like they did the managers in charge. Just look at the Nuremberg trials. According to your logic, all of those people are innocent because they were just following orders.
3
In that case, I'm gonna live forever!
3
Where do you get those kinds of certs? I'm curious.
3
Because having children is inherently selfish. It's really not about the kid at all, it's about the parents getting attention and praise for doing what literally every living thing has ever done. They don't care about the child, that's obvious, otherwise it wouldn't be such a big deal if the kid came out as trans, or wanted to pursue a certain career, or stuff like that. They have kids so that they can treat a living being as property, just a tool to serve their own ego.
3
Same with me in the early 80s. My school playground was made of wood. Not even sanded wood, raw logs haphazardly coated with pitch, which just made the jagged edges even more prominent! Not a day went by where several kids didn't have to go to the nurse to get splinters removed. Not one. I think I went in at least twice a week because of it. Also got mauled by a neighbor's dog, but there weren't any leash laws or anything like that, so they cops couldn't do anything and that terror was allowed to run free all over the neighborhood, chasing kids. Nowadays, people would fall all over themselves to defend that cur and insist all of us children must have "provoked" it.
2
No sympathy for that woman or her dog. Human stupidity truly knows no bounds.
2
@wt5284 Eh, frankly I find it utterly ridiculous that they were expected to not only keep playing the national anthem, but hoist the flag before tending to themselves or taking any action to defend the base. It's just jingoistic absurdity, really. They shouldn't be praised for that, they should be called out for their deeply skewed priorities.
2
I'm the 1000th like! And I agree. It makes me sick.
2
@ladycheyne5607 Yuuuuuuuup. That and the flag thing is just.... 🙄
2
"Accidentally" my arse. I know teenagers. They were probably bring stupid and taking turns lighting shrit and laughing. And I hope that coward who fled and left the children without even turning the rides off got prosecuted.
2
All those people died, because an entitled parent let THEIR CHILDREN FLY A DAMN PLANE.
2
All that death, caused by a handful of idio†s.
2
@drrocketman7794 That second story is amazing. I hope the guy who was forced to make the artillery never got caught! I wonder if he knew just how many lives he saved in his act of defiance.
2
I don't know how you manage to make such horrific events with massive loss of life sound so soothing and easy on the ears, but however you do it, I hope you never stop!
2
Thank you for reading the names of the dead, because the park responsible for ending their lives refuses to do so.
2
The French.
2
@nicholasschroeder3678 It's a bit hard to take your comment seriously when it's dripping with so much prejudice as yours is. Holy cow. You didn't have your family's skin melted off by nuclear fallout. The US dropping the bombs was like using an Uzi to kill a wasp.
