  2. I'm gobsmacked that so many people in the comments are saying he should have been given job offers and scholarships. HE WAS A SCHIZOPHRENIC WHO WENT OFF HIS MEDS AND REGULARLY DID COCAINE. He committed felonies to get all of the uranium he got hold of, and deliberately lied to authorities to cover his behind. He was smart enough to know what he was doing was an extremely bad idea that would cause extreme suffering to innocent lives, yet he pushed forward anyway. No one should ever be rewarded for that. Then later in life, he tried to do it again. Those are most definitely radiation burns in his mugshot. We will never know the true extent of the damage he caused to others because of his stupid, STUPID mother who threw out all that radioactive material. Countless lives could have been cut short after exposure to that stuff, just sitting in a landfill somewhere, with the wind carrying the radiation to who knows where. And you wanted him to be ushered in to some university where he'd be able to access even MORE dangerous materials?!
