@Zarnirox Ugh, don't get me started on that. As a zoologist, NOTHING pisses me off more than dog owners bringing their mutts to a dog free beach and wreaking havoc on the local ecosystem. Dog shi† is responsible for the majority of polluted water systems in wildlife areas, and the dogs themselves will chase after and kill local fauna. I've even seen one dog barking and biting at a beached dolphin, while its wretched owners laughed and egged it on.

First off, Yellowstone is named such because that's what the Native Americans called it, so it's messed up of you to say it should be renamed to someoyne so banal. Second, Death Valley will kill people unawares just by happenstance. Virtually all Yellowstone casualties see because of sheer human s†upidity.

@daves2552 Eh, maybe not modern ones, but the old-fashioned white rubber tires that used to be common in the 40s and 50s were softer, and would become sticky and unusable in Death Valley on its hottest days. Plus, car engines will break down in that heat, and you likely won't last long stranded out there.

I'm so sick of dog owners thinking that rules don't apply to them, because Dog. Dogs are dumb, they'll leap headlong into anything. Like the "dog suicide bridge", there is a large population of rats and squirrels at the bottom. Hundreds of dogs have jumped over the side eager to kill the rodents, because dogs are simple creatures of pure id and will act without thinking whatsoever. Once again, unleashed, untrained, yet the dog owners blame the bridge. As far as I'm concerned, anyone stupid enough to jump into boiling water after their untrained, unleashed dog that you decided to bring into a park knowing it's forbidden, is a Darwin Award.
