  1. ​ @gnerus1972  I can see a lot of families adopting the suffix trying to seem more noble. It reminds me of the reason why so many Vietnamese people are named "Nguyen". A long time ago, the ruling family declared that anyone who wasn't a family member was an enemy, and did some pretty awful things to the population. So everyone went "uh, no, we're not (our family name), we're Nguyens!" in order to be spared.

  3. Which is odd, cuz I actually looked it up, and according to that site and a confirmational youtube video, he said it correctly. So he probably did look it up.

  7. The issue with that is by that point we knew the exact circumference of the earth, and had for like, hundreds of years. So there's really no excuse to be wrong, even by a small margin.
