  1. I don't understand why we don't euthanize late stage Alzheimer's patients. Three years, he persisted, locked in the terror of his own fading mind. I can't imagine a worse heII. Alzheimer's patients eventually die of asphyxia or choking, they literally forget how to breathe, how to swallow. It is...never a pleasant or quiet death.
