  1.  @Ididathing  I don't think they will... I'm a zoologist, I hate to say it but that crab probably didn't make it. It can't retreat into the shell, it doesn't fit him so he's exposed to predation.

  2. I really hope you didn't release the crab in that shell. It doesn't fit him properly, he can't retreat into it, and he will likely get eaten. Signed, a marine biologist.
