  1. It's one of the worst ways to go, in my opinion. I can't imagine anything more terrifying. Nothing is holding you there, other than the blind, animalistic panic of everyone behind you. If everyone had kept calm, they all would have made it out with no issue.

  2. ​ @ACooper194  I'm a wildlife biologist, and I'd like to give my input, if you don't mind. It's unclear whether or not the eye contact is its way of finding prey or if it's just a defense response. I think it's both, but as we only have a few scenes of its behavior to go on, it's impossible to say for sure without knowing its anatomy or observing it in its natural environment. But one thing I'm certain of, is that it's not aggressive. It's scared. Jean Jacket was exploited just as Gordy was, it's a wild animal that we have no control over despite our arrogant assumption that we did. JJ was "fed" and was docile until its trust was broken by being given a fake horse, which injured it. Only then did it see humans as a danger to itself and acted accordingly. That's what the unfurling of its body is, too - it's a threat display. It's trying to make itself look bigger, and flashing its green eye to startle and frighten away a perceived threat. Jean Jacket's end wasn't a happy one for me, it was quite tragic. I know it can't be allowed to eat people, but it was still an innocent, magnificent creature.

  3. ​ @deepaksrinivasmondal  You SHOULD feel bad for JJ. It's no different than Gordy, an innocent animal who was exploited by humans. Would you call a dog evil when it murks a child? No, of course not, and the same goes for JJ.

  4. That's because it is a wild animal. It's no different than Gordy, it's a magnificent creature reduced to nothing by the exploitation of human beings.

  5. ​ @davidkonevky7372  That's why I love the scene where Jean Jacket's eye unfurls. It's a beautiful animal, and its eye not only resembles a camera lens, but it's trembling in a threat display. It's scared. Just like Gordy.

  6. ​ @TheOtherOlesen  Yeah, that's the point. You're not supposed to be scared, you're supposed to be awed by the creature and even sympathetic to it.
