@jimmyjay689 He gave her hope by cheating on Sherri with her while engaged. That told her "see, he still wants to be with me, if she were out of the picture we'd be together." And the sick thing is, she was right. He DID go back to her, shockingly quickly after the murder. So he's hardly innocent in all of this, although obviously she's the guilty one.

Yup. It's so sad to know that an innocent woman died...for THAT. Lazarus seriously thought this guy was worth killing for. This guy. The human equivalent of a gas station tuna sandwich.
77
"But it's like, and then I'm, you know, and then I'm, you know, uh you know like, yeah"
62
Her Crazy Eyes are off the charts.
58
Not to mention that the conkwocket cheated on his wife with her, twice. Yeah, not exactly a guy worth fighting for, let alone kiII for.
54
37:17 - 37:30 was when she hit peak obnoxiousness. Her sheer arrogance and over the top behavior is just, ugh. UGH. I cannot for the life of me understand how that man could cheat on his beautiful wife with this rubber-faced horror!
40
I know, right?? Ugh, she's so obnoxious!
37
How do you know he DIDN'T pressure them? Lots of people pointed right to her, but the police just kept brushing it under the rug and outright refused to investigate. They probably threatened him into silence by saying he'd be arrested himself if he didn't stop calling in to report her. Those pigs sheltered her for decades. Just like they do for every other murderer on their payroll.
18
"And then I'm like...BAAAH! And then I'm, y'know, then I'm, y'know....y'know?"
15
What IS that. What even is that. Who does that with their lips, under ANY circumstances?!
13
She's a cop. She knew she didn't have to be smart in order to get away with it. If not for her former boss retiring and them bringing in a new guy to run the precinct, she'd have never been arraigned. The pigs protect their own.
12
@unomeyed4406 "Well gee, I can't remember, I could have, I mean, it all started way back when the universe came into existence in the big bang, and then atoms formed and gravity kicked in...."
10
He's the one that slept with Stephanie while engaged to the victim! I'm thoroughly disgusted that he actually went back to her so soon after the murder, too. Watching him at the end crying over the loss of Sherri made me feel ill. He doesn't deserve to cry over her, when he betrayed her so badly. I can't help but wonder if she'd still be alive had he not cheated on her with that crazy-eyed psycho.
10
My thoughts exactly. Didn't the heads of the department all retire? That's the only reason they finally held her accountable, everyone who refused to do their jobs and investigate her all left.
8
They're all like this. They actively avoid hiring intelligent people. I'm totally serious, if you've over a certain IQ, you can't get hired as a cop.
7
Dammit I was taking a sip of tea when I read this 😂
6
"But it's like, and then I'm, you know, and then I'm, you know, uh you know like, yeah" I lost several brain cells just transcribing that one statement. RIP to the records keeper.
6
To this day, she's sitting in her cell, loudly proclaiming "what's this all about?"
5
I-I-I ah.....I'm thinkin' it was at a cafe somewhere, I used to work at the precinct by the IHOP back in 93?.....93?....It was when I was still teaching D.A.R.E., the shape of the pancakes reminded me of the big island of Hawaii,.....And, eh-eh-eh-eh....Ah-ah-ah you mean like, BREAKFAST-breakfast? That sounds familiar, ah-ah-ah...yeah...mmmmm....MmmmMMMMMMmmmmm..... [flaps her lips open and shut like a muppet]
5
Heh, I got pulled over by my DARE officer when I was 21. That was awkward.
5
@King Nothing LOL Underrated comment 😂
4
@T6goal It truly is appalling, isn't it? It's so obvious that her cop buddies helped her all this time. Then she had the audacity to sue the LAPD from prison. She doesn't feel one iota of guilt or remorse.
4
Well she IS a cop.
4
She even sued the LAPD from prison. The audacity of this bìtvh.
4
@mspak182 LOL that's exactly me right now! It's 4 AM, for some reason I just had to look this up again. What is wrong with me?
4
I agree, the detectives were top notch and had the patient of a saint, but why do you use so many ellipses in your text? It's rather distracting.
3
@ThisIsMeArnold ^ This. All of this. Skill and intellect mean nothing to these people. They actively avoid hiring intelligent people. They give IQ tests to all candidates as a prerequisite for the academy, and they cut everyone who scores above a certain mark.
3
@avadefranco2558 She'd be the only person whose eyes would look LESS crazy after taking drugs.
3
She's a cop. of course she has.
2
....Do I have to?
2
Is that you in your profile picture? Your hair is so pretty!
2
Why should she? She knew she had no reason to, she's a cop. They murder people all the time, and they keep sweeping all those under the rug, too.
2
Ugh, her incessant stammering is nine kinds of annoying! "Er-ah-ah-uh-uh-eh-eh"
2
That's cops for you. Who do you think protected her all those years? Her case was taken up several times, and her superiors squashed the investigation every time. These two were only able to take her in because her superiors all retired.
2
Peaceful Mountain It's the LAPD, can you really expect any better?
2
You clearly haven't met an LAPD cop. They don't care. They can sleep just fine at night.
2
@Ed Privat Oh it totally isn't, but DAMMIT WE LOVE IT SO MUCH
2
@nowandaround312 She is definitely a narcissist.
1
Right??
1
Why do I get the feeling that Stephanie's cop buddies helped her do this and committed those break-ins to create a false suspect? I mean, let's face it, they clearly protected her for decades, and cops are notorious for doing this kind of thing.
1
@justinromain7066 They knew. They covered it up.
1
You're not wrong.
1
The constant sputtering made me want to deck her. I dunno why, but that one aspect of her speech just got on my nerves so much more than the rest of it.
1
I was taking a drink right when I got to the apple bit. Oh god, my nose 😂
1
There's no question that the cops protected her. No question.
1
What's this all about?
1
@samsonmcgloughlin You know, I never really thought about it before, but "butterfinger" is a really, really weird and unappealing name for a candy bar.
1
To be fair, Jeff has had lots of practice.
1
@jtrain5615 Yeah. The cops probably did that themselves.
1
That really got to me, too. He's a disgusting, sorry excuse for a man and it's appalling to see him cry and play the victim after all he did to that poor woman.
1
@nobodybecomessomebody1321 Of course you call them "females" 🙄
1
@5nbome114 I still think her cop buddies committed those break-ins that night specifically to get the heat off her. Isn't it odd how so many houses on that street were broken into on that very same night, and the police didn't catch them despite them staying in the same area all night? And as far as I can tell, no one got hurt and nothing was stolen from any of those houses. The lead investigator on the LAPD at the time also repeatedly ignored requests to have Stephanie questioned, or to have the case files reopened. He very blatantly buried the case. It wasn't until he retired that investigators were finally able to take her down. She later sued the LAPD, probably out of spite cuz she was assured that she'd be safe and felt double crossed.
1
@lite3857 She's the only living human I've ever seen that falls into the uncanny valley.
1
@deltavariant6109 What are you talking about? She's white.
