  27. This will forever stand as the most evil single act ever committed. Other atrocities like the Holocaust or the long history of human experimentation may have been more evil as a whole, but inflicting not just one, but two nuclear bombs deliberately upon civilians and not military strongholds, just to cause maximum death and suffering, is the worst act ever committed by humankind. And yet, because the US did this, I only ever see it described in neutral terms, rather than treated as the utter limit of human depravity that it is. I frequently hear it mentioned in a jovial, celebratory tone. I will never understand why anyone could ever look upon this and celebrate. To me, nothing appalls me more.
