I became dependent because of the high doses of vicotin I used to be prescribed for my fibroid tumors. Now I'm on a self imposed taper, but it's been a long, slow journey. I'm terrified of the inevitable cessation when I finally get low enough.

@SolidSiren That's the best description of withdrawal I have ever heard. That's exactly what it feels like, it's so tortuous that you want to tear yourself from your body. It's hell. It's absolute hell. If hell exists, I'd much rather be burned alive than have to go through withdrawal again.

The muscle spasms are the absolute worst. Even more than the 24/7 vomiting and diarrhea.

Oh god, the restless legs are the absolute worst. I'd say it's even worse than the vomiting. I'm so sorry you had to go through that, but I'm also proud. I'm currently on my own self imposed taper, and I'm terrified of what will happen when I get to the point where I finally cut it off. I'm so scared.
