  1. I can confirm a lot of what this guy said. I'm a woman and I used to model starting in college. The agency treats you like cattle, they pressure you to do SO many things you don't want to do, threatening blacklisting, saying another model would be happy to and that you'll never make it with that negative attitude. They even have an industry term for any model who gains weight, gets pregnant or ages past 30: "self-destructed". It's so, so demeaning. "Why not just leave then"? Why don't you leave a bad job? You need the money, you're beaten down and broken to the point where you just go along with it cuz you're told if you just do this, you'll be rewarded with so much money, you'll be well off, you'll be set for life, etc. It's a lie. It's all a lie.
