  1. Few things piss me off more than some pussy commenter who knowingly says something mean-spirited or controversial, then toggles replies off. It's a cowardly, scummy thing to do and those people can fuck themselves. HOWEVER. There are times when I think it's warranted for a channel to disable comments. I can think of a couple instances where a youtuber gets nothing but death threats. Literally. Nothing. But death threats. I think that goes beyond "a little bullying", dude.  Being doxxed is a real fear, and a few online personas have already been forced to flee their homes and quit their jobs because of psychos who plastered their address all over their comments. I think disabling that feature is the only bastion of peace a channel owner can attain under these circumstances, 'cuz Google sure as shit isn't gonna do anything to protect them!
