  3. She understood the question just fine, but she knows no matter what she answers with, she's toast. If she said yes, then it means she was lying during her police interview and that no one should trust her memory of the event. But if she said no, then it means she's lying right now on the stand, and pretty much telling on herself. So she says "oh, I don't understand the question!" 🙄
