Goal this year is to read 5 more books than last year and knock out 15 games from my backlog before I get anything new.

@ don’t care brother been here for years I’ve done the self improvement I’m doing my usual gym 4-5 times a week I’m good. I go hiking on weekends but I don’t enjoy most of those things they are chores. Same with approaching girls and travel it’s good but those are chores I don’t enjoy it most of the time. These are goals I enjoy and want to get done don’t care if it’s not the popular thing to do.

@independent_strongman well you have to have some fun realistic goals I find many guys put what’s popular on their list and are miserable just doing what they think people will applaud them for doing. That being said working out, hiking and activities are universally good. But many of those are also chores I’ve never been the guy that gets a runners high or a lifters high. Those are chores I have to do like my job they aren’t fun goals I want to accomplish. They are regular goals but you need some basic goals as a fun accomplishment otherwise your goals get stale or are constant and therefore are no longer goals. Like Bo explains in the video.

@agauerm yes however similar to the stuff we discuss with women and feminism. Gamers still have kinda an overall socially negative view. The girl boss stereotypes we see often translates to most western women. Similarly most gamers are seen as the fat overweight lazy loser who does gaming and only gaming. I mean Bo was an example himself so he probably also ties gaming to a part of himself he hates so I understand why he’s big on pointing that out. Myself for example I have a very negative view on weed cause all my friends as soon as they started smoking that’s all they ever did. Turned many into a bunch of lazy degenerate a holes. Now does that mean that’s all weed smokers nope but there’s a stereotype same thing basically.

@sam_20_ gotta set some small fun goals especially things that are easy to control.

@CoFiCH91 yeah I’m a huge RPG and JRPG guy so I can get through like 2-3 really great games before I beat a souls like. I preferred Nioh and code vein, I did try black myth wukong got stuck on a boss there.
