@johnk6598 The whole point of the ICC is that there is an international court not controlled by the United States or by any other country. Can't you see how absurd it is for you to suggest that it's not acceptable because it's not controlled by the United States? American exceptionalism may seem to make sense to many Americans but it just seems hypocritical and arrogant to people in other countries.

@johnk6598 Clearly you haven't been paying attention to what has been going on with your own courts, in particular your Supreme Court. Time you did as what has been happening is an example of the decline of democracy and rule of law in the United States. You really should pay attention to something that serious and dangerous for the United States. Do better. It's quite embarrassing for you when people in other countries understand more about what is going on with your court system than you do.

That's putting it mildly. My understanding is that the United States has a law mandating the invasion of any country that is holding an American citizen with the intention of sending them to be tried by the ICC with the goal of "rescuing" the American being held.

@wesdowner5636 There was a thought of putting the United Nations on an island in the Niagara River as a sort of neutral spot between Canada and the United States. Of course that's not what happened.
