@iblendallday No. Russia does not control that much of Ukraine. Not nearly that much. And remember that Russian troops haven't made a significant advance in well over two years. And the point is that having Ukrainian forces occupy part of Russia is a complete disaster from a PR standpoint for Putin who pretends he's a strong leader who is protecting Russia from the west and who launched his unprovoked invasion to make Russia safer. His reputation can be really badly damaged if Ukrainian forces control any of Russia. A lot of Russians will think the war is making them less safe, not more safe, and will put the blame on Putin. So if any land swap were to occur Putin might be desperate enough to trade 20 times as much Ukrainian territory to get the occupied Russian territory back. And even if there is no land swap and even if Ukrainian troops end up making an organized retreat from Russian territory this has still badly damaged Putin's reputation and humiliated him and that makes his position as leader less secure.

@jillianneil-gooden1116 Why did you decide to abandon all morality, humanity and basic decency to take a job working as a troll spreading propaganda for a genocidal, terrorist, Imperialist dictatorship that keeps launching unprovoked invasions into nearby countries? Your family must be disgusted with your choice of occupation and refusal to get a decent job. Most families don't like it when someone in the family publicly supports terrorism.

@jillianneil-gooden1116 Why did Nazi Germany attack it's "greatest ally" of the Soviet Union and kill 20 million of its citizens and try to wipe it from the face of the Earth? Why in WW2 did Italy suddenly switch sides and go against Nazi Germany? Why in WW2 did Romania switch sides and go against Nazi Germany? Why in WW2 did so many French leaders switch from collaboration to going against Nazi Germany? You don't learn very well from history. China wants back that huge expanse of territory that it says Russia stole in the 1800s. And it wants the port of Vladivostok for its own uses. And when China invades Russia and takes that territory and Vladivostok it's not going to say please. It's too bad for Russia that it's been forced to move virtually all of its anti-airceaft systems and much of its troops off the Russian border with China. But that's great for China. And remember that Russia is very much the subservient partner in the relationship with China and that China now sees Russia as no more than a gas station. And even in regards to that China seems indifferent to the idea of building a gas pipeline or buying more natural gas and wants your Russian government to heavily subsidize any natural gas that China buys.
