When you go to a traditional Catholic mass you're witnesses a real living tradition passed down since Roman times, including the use of Latin. Vikings collapsed because of Christianity? The vikings were absorbed into England, creating a unified nation. If viking culture was destroy by Christianity, then Christianity was obviously a better worldview.

  16.  @djbogz1921  You're not a blank slate yourself. If you live in England you are verly likely to be ethically and culturally Christian, even if you're atheist. These values would have been instilled into you by your parents and the dominant culture, especially if you're over 30 years old. And morality changes from society to society, from age to age. It never 'just is'. Native New Zealanders were cannibals until the Europeans arrived. And the polynesians had no concpetion of private property, so they had nothing morally against taking things from other people without asking.
