@andydragonfisher6900 Nah, being forced to learn a langauge when i didn't have the skills too was just a complete waste of my time. I liked history, but they decided to teach irrelevant topics which i couldn't relate too, so again, a giant waste of my time. And they didn't teach me any practical wisdom about adult life in the slightest, they just pumped me full of irrelevant facts.

Patrick B Some people are good at langauges, others are not. That just the way it goes. This would be apparent after a year or two, so why continue forcing kids to try and learn something when they're clearly incapable or uninterested? At least in science and history i was taught some interesting facts, but i cannot speak a word of German, despite wasting five years doing it. In my school we had the choice to do either history or geography, but why not both? I'd have happily given up German to continue Geography, but instead my time was wasted.

@andywest6062 I agree, but as a Christian i'd have prefered to learn about Christianity instead of Islam, at least it has some relevance to British history.
