  8.  @oscarwindham6016  He's fighting to stop NATO setting up base in his back garden. It's stategic and perfectly logical. We invaded Iraq under the pretext that they were illegally making WMDs.......none were found. And we did to Bhagdad exactly what the Russians are doing to Ukraine, except this time the BBC are not on the side of the invaders.

  9.  @oscarwindham6016  Quite right, but that's like saying if Saddam Hussain wanted nukes, then who are we to stop him? When the West fight for it's interests, it's good, but when Russia fight in it's interest, it's bad.

  10.  @oscarwindham6016  I don't like it when people frame things as 'good vs. evil'. You're dealing with human beings, both capable of goodness and wrongdoing. The middle-east views the West as evil, but we view ourselves as good, but they also view themselves as good, so it's all about perspective. And war is never black and white, it's multifaceted. Russians in Eastern-Ukraine have been persecuted and shelled by Ukrainian forces for the past 8 years, all funded by the Pentagon. So it's hardly without reason.
