Virtue requires hard work, sin requires nothing but you giving in to base urges. Anyone who gives in to base urges becomes a slave to irrational desires. Your a slave to your lower head and it's turned you into a slave, only by becoming a slave to Christ do you free yourself from the shackles of irrationality. The Greek myth about the minotaur is about just this: the body of a man, the head of an beast, forever destined to roam the labyrinth of his own inner hell.
