@Idiota Dostoiévski Satan is an unfortunate consequence of time and free will. But God gave us all the tools we need to willingly fight against evil.

Mike Fee Well said Mike. People often like to blame God for their own failings. Mankind as a whole is responsible for much unneccesary suffering in the world.

@Idiota Dostoiévski God knows your choices, but does not affect them, you still have free will. Like i said, without free will we cannot truly love God, we would be forced to love, which isn't love at all!

2be Blunt No one's saying we don't do the evil we perform, but we are subject to temptation, or our irrational nature which drives us to do evil things. But we are responsible for the choices we make because we have free will, a conscience and rational mind, all given by God to guide us towards the good. In atheism evil doesn't exist, it's just other people's choices which happen to affect you negatively. In atheism, there is no right or wrong action outside of what benefits you.
