  1. It's seems that the Irish by wanting to reject the Catholic church, have gone to the opposite end of the extreme. They're trying to play catch-up with the rest of the Western world, but not realising that things like abortion come with unintended consequences for society, which they seem to be oblivious to.

  2. The younger generations in Britain and US seem to be far more conservative and pro-life, i think this is largely due to the fact that Conservatives are having more children than Liberals, and therefore raising a generation to combat the Liberalism of the previous generations.

  5. @Clingfilm Productions, Promiscuity is one consequence. 81% of abortions are performed on single women in Britain. Abortion on demand therefore gives license to promiscuous behaviour. But you might be mistaken for thnking that this would decrease instances of single parent homes, and yet in Britain 25% of children are raised in single-parent homes. So abortion in Britain hasn't helped in family planning.
