  5.  @mikepatton5202  What if the majority vote for a tyrant? The great thing about Monarch is that they're a benevolent absolute ruler. The Monarchy prevents a tyrant from trying to assume absolute power.

  6. So you want Christmas to become a secular festival with no connection or mention of Jesus at all? Christmas is the one time of year that atheists get to hear to about Christ, why do you want to sacrifice that for some puritanical reason?

  7.  @davidcraig8660  You're being too puritanical. If Christmas brings someone to God then it's good. It's like saying we're not allowed to save a drowning puppy because it's against the rules to jump in the lake. Jesus was never so rigid.

  8.  @davidcraig8660  Why not both? If traditions lead men to God then they are good. The pharisee turned men away from God, but Christian traditions help keep society on the right track.
