Abortion can be argued from both a religious and a scientific position, even the religious can use the scientific arguments against abortion. Just because most people who are against abortion are religious, doesn't neccessarily mean their position is baseless.

  37. Avonidsed No, my belief on abortion is based upon reason and science. Human life begins at conception, this is a fact, not my opinion. Just because i happen to be religous doesn't mean my every thought is based upon faith; only my belief about God and the afterlife are based upon faith, everything else is based upon logic and science.  "Human zygotes in early stages are identical to other zygotes such as chickens, chimps and reptiles." Irrelevant, chicken, chimp, and reptile zygotes will not grown into a fully-formed human being and then onto a rational being. This means the human zygote has inherent meaning and worth beyond the mere animal. Again, your analogy is offensive.
