The government gives licensed practitioners the right to perform an abortion, you simply consent to having it done. Abortion is therefore a government granted privilage, not a natural right. So you analogy is slightly off. Also, pregnancy is not an injury or affliction; it only very rarely leads to the loss of life for both mother and child.

The others "split the condom" and "contraceptives fail" isn't valid. No one forced the women in these instances to have sexual intercourse, women know that contraceptives are not a 100% absolute safety net, therefore further actions must be taken in case of an accident, which are these: 1) Do not have sex outside of a committed relationship 2) Limit the amount of sex if you are not in the position financially or emotionally to raise a child; and 3) If you find yourself pregnant, you must accept that it occured through your own choice of wrong action, and that you must now take responsibility for the wrong choice you made. If you cannot follow these three steps, then it isn't the place of the State to help you out, you brought it on yourself.

You can have an abortion, but you cannot tell me how i should feel about it; you make a choice in life, and i can determine the rightness or wrongness of that choice. And before you make the choice, i can offer you an alternative which is a better choice for all involved, hence why some "hassle" women outside abortion clinics. The BBC do have a left-wing bias, but they try to mask it due to their charter which states that they must remain politically impartial, although BBC3 specifically has become a rival to the claim.
