He does in fact swim for Northern Ireland as well. When will you learn he's English born and not Irish? His accent is a huge giveaway.
5
He isn't Irish though is he? He's in fact English. He was born in Leeds. You're the one who needs to accept the facts.
4
How many times are you going to write this on numerous video's?
4
@eugdee7293 You are factually incorrect. The full name of the team is in fact "Great Britain and Northern Ireland" Check it out if you want. Northern Ireland is part of the UK. The sovereign nation.
4
@Stantheman848 An Irish person being bitter about England in sports. What a shock. Seriously, you're making yourself look like an idiot here. If you don't care about the game, why do you care to come on a highlight and make comments about it? And how would you know about the standard of play overall if you didn't watch? You did watch, and it wasn't the result you were hoping for. It's the same with the Scots on Twitter. However, thanks for the tears, they taste really seasoned.
4
You're very dedicated aren't you? Haha. Man are you seething.
3
They were biased against the Irish? Maybe you could help me and point out this supposed bias against them?
2
@paulmurray6663 You don't need to see any Saint George symbols wrapped around him. Is he English, yes or no? That's the only thing that matters. I don't have the Saint George wrapped around me either and i'm English too.
2
@petek2316 Where did you get this idea from that the entire world were laughing? Every top country has had losses like this every now and then. Therefore, what you're saying makes no sense. Speaking on behalf of the world is just sheer arrogance. It's your toxicity and xenophobia. Own it.
2
@ModernistGaming85 It's very clear by the obsession with the English in all walks of life including football. You watch in the hope they lose. Claiming otherwise is straight lying.
2
The English born Daniel Wiffen with English parents who were also born and raised in Leeds, England. Is "Getting our hands on one of your own"? Oh, right. That's a new one.
2
richiengnt Why would it change the fact he's English just because he represents Ireland?
2
Your English is exemplary. Thank you for such wonderful insights from a clear intellect about the game we all love.
1
@warrenpaine LOL, What???? Could you explain in great detail how pointing out the fact the English born Daniel is from Northern Ireland (Which he is) is in any way, trying to "Divide the people of Ireland"?? As for thinking they're not being allowed to live in peace... I think serious issues are at play here. Serious ones. I can't help you there.
1
@warrenpaine You said this video was trying to divide Ireland. I asked for an explanation for your comments. How would i find this video supposedly dividing Ireland in any history book?
1
@warrenpaine Daniel went to County Armagh. That's in Northern Ireland.
1
@warrenpaine You haven't answered how this video is "Dividing Ireland"? Nor have you explained how we're supposedly not letting Ireland "Live in peace". Why do you keep deflecting and refusing to answer to your comments?
1
@warrenpaine Why do you keep asking this irrelevant question? Have you not got a more interesting deflection?
1
@warrenpaine It's in the South. Now answer the questions you've refused to answer with your irrelevant deflections.
1
@warrenpaine You know what i mean. Even though it's location is in the North, County Donegal is actually part of the Republic. You asked if the people are Northern Irish or Southern Irish. I said it's in the South meaning that's where they're from. The only one who comes under the description you wrote, is you. Now, are you going to answer the questions or are you going to continue to deflect? I think we both know the answer to that. You can't answer so you're desperately trying to dodge with whatever irrelevant thing you can think of.
1
@eugdee7293 It does include it in the team name. But it's a bit of a long one to have on their kit.
1
@eugdee7293 Team GB sounds much better than team UK. Don't you agree? Wait, it isn't inclusive, but they go by the name of team GB? Great Britain is England, Scotland and Wales. So you've just contradicted yourself there. What do you mean, if they could, they'd have England on their kit? So no matter what they have, you'll still have the same contradictory opinion? That's a you issue at play here. Nothing else.
1
@jasonmcgrath362 No stopping them doing what? Being correct while people make comments that are factually incorrect?
1
@Afiajustifiee But he is in fact English born and British. Full stop. Whoever he represents, the facts don't change.
1
@eugdee7293 Well, you said they'd really like to have just England on their kit. But they don't, do they? They never have. It's always been team GB. So please tell me how that isn't inclusive?
1
@eugdee7293 You've moved onto something else now to try and justify us not being inclusive. You're clutching at more than straws here. All this because you don't like facts. Then when you add in the fact that the Irish are forever trying to claim British celebrities as Irish out of desperation but then accusing us of doing so with projections and gaslighting. We don't need to claim Irish celebrities. We're not insecure.
1
@stiofanmcareavey5300 What did they say that was ignorant? Learn the definition of irony. You'll be let in on the joke.
1
@davidmoriarty2820 When did England deny him the chance to swim for them?
1
@gomey70 The Irish care. They're forever trying to claim British celebs because they claim their blood is Irish so they're Irish. Forget they were born and raised in England. It's the hypocrisy and irony at play i have a problem with. Not the fact he won the Gold for Ireland.
1
@Haerinx87 His Father is Irish now? I asked for the source to prove this with another person who made the comment of his Mother being Irish. Guess what, they haven't got back to me. You'll not get back to me either after i ask you to prove his Father being Irish by giving me a source to confirm this?
1
@prophetsnake Why, when are they leaving? Do you need a hand with any boxes or anything? Just let me know.
1
@paulmurray6663 How would it tarnish his Gold medal? It wasn't done through cheating or anything. Just pointing out the fact he's English after all the Irish came on here with their comments after claiming something was said on the video when it actually wasn't. It's why i'm here. I was expecting it. It didn't let me down.
1
@prophetsnake Yeah, sure. What? I asked when they were leaving after you said "Soon to be former Northern Ireland". Why would we be "Riding into oblivion" if Northern Ireland left the UK?
1
@Haerinx87 They're both English actually. Both born and raised in Leeds, England. If it's easy to verify that his parents are Irish, why don't you tell me where i can find this information? And i do mean with the information actually there as proof. Don't give me a site and ask me to look for it. Actually tell me where that information is.
1
@Haerinx87 You're deflecting now by turning the question on me? I thought it was easy to verify. It doesn't look easy for you from where i'm sitting. Even the surname of Wiffen is a huge giveaway. Why, do you think it's an Irish surname or something? No information online exist that they are Irish. Plenty does for them actually being English. The reason to why no information exists, is because it simply isn't true. Lying about it won't help you. But it's to be expected.
1
@prophetsnake Still can't tell me why it would be a sleigh ride to oblivion? Didn't think so.
1
@Haerinx87 Still can't give me the source of this oh so very easy to find information of his parents being Irish? LOL.
1
@prophetsnake What you mean is, your inferiority complex has you wishing that was the case. We'd save a hell of a lot of money if Northern Ireland left. You wouldn't. It would cost you a pretty penny. But i guess i better start wishing bad on those who invaded us in the past and what not. Just joking. I'm not that sad. You enjoy yourself though. Maybe one day you'll learn.
1
@prophetsnake It looks like you don't know either. LOL. I would have thought me knowing about going to oblivion would make you happy? Make up your mind will ya. So it's a secret until the day comes? I look forward to it. Some people, hey...
1
@prophetsnake I wasn't trying anything. Just pointing out that your fantasy is just that. A fantasy. Oh i get it, alright. You can't miss it on here. I've been studying the Irish and their comments for years. I know you better than you know yourselves. Deeply unpleasant is putting it mildly. You'll laugh at a reason you can't explain? Oh, right.
1
@prophetsnake Oh by the way. Enjoy another Gold medal achieved by another Brit. You should get more of us. You'll actually win something then.
1
@prophetsnake Snort? It all makes sense now. LOL. You want to take it easy, kid. I think i'll definitely be able to remember you the day you can't explain considering i'll supposedly be able to hear you laughing when this supposedly happens. Or have you forgotten already? I need an imagination now because you can't answer a simple question? We'll be much better off without Northern Ireland. You wouldn't. They're the facts. But you seem to have the imagination to think it will be different. You just can't give any explanation as to why.
1
@prophetsnake Yeah, asking questions to a comment is straight forward. It's not trying anything. But as you say, nice try.
1
@prophetsnake My reading's fine. Your spelling on the other hand... But go on, humour me. Point out where you think i failed to read properly? Or is this another case of "Nice try"? LOL.
1
@prophetsnake I asked you to point out to me where i supposedly can't read. All you've done is write another badly spelled comment saying the same exact thing as before. Do YOU not know how to read so you can't answer properly? It looks like it to me.
1
@prophetsnake What isn't so? This is like the worst quiz show on earth. I have to guess what you're getting at because you simply can't be straight forward.
1
England weren't led by an Irishman when winning 2 of those world cups. But for the record, it was spoken about quite often that he was Irish. But they obviously weren't going to say Ireland won the world cup were they as it was a whole team playing for England. Daniel was an individual.
1
@MillionDollarGreeks They said Rory was from Northern Ireland like they did on this video for Daniel? Disgusting. Just imagine saying where an athlete is from.
1
When did the Englishman become Irish? That's a new one.
1
@ Are you saying there isn't a load of Scots who watch in the hope England lose? They don't spew if they lose? You're saying you haven't seen the mass of them all over the internet? Are you also saying there isn't an obsession with us in all walks of life? Denying these wide spread facts is nothing but gaslighting. It's your comment that can't be serious. But then again, i know all the traits so this isn't surprising with the response. It's expected.
