Gaia is mother earth. I think it is a metaphor. In Christian religion this is known as the immaculate conception. The Earth "gave birth" to the land, sea and sky, which in turn "gave birth" to life, (aka Mortal beings) without sexual relations.

This is so well presented. I respect the work that has gone into this to try and make it as accurate as mythology can be.

@nameslesss yeah that's a bit counter narrative, I'm sure we can think of a good reason.

@chrisandrikos3684 ...but the point is, religion reveals deep metaphorical truths about the Universe. Man (mortal being) simply observes what he see's and writes it down. It becomes a religion to the extent that it resonates with ppl as being true, in some sense. It is striking how similarities you can draw between ancient mythology, world religion and the origins of life on Earth, according to mainstream science. They all start with nothing, then light, then stars, then planets, then life, then evolution of life.

Given it is so close to the computer and memory. I would guess they would all get rolled up into one "age" when we look back in 2000 years time. The data ages.

If the winter solstice was thought to be 25th December, it is because of the dwell period when sun is at lowest point in sky. You could say it "appears" to start rising on the 25th Dec. My thought is that Jesus was a real historical figure, but he was picked because his personal birth story lined up with the pagan story very nicely, he was thus celebrated.

I imagine in a few thousand years, this list will include "the third Reich", "the Soviet Union", "the European Union", with trendies saying this like, yeah, they were like sooo my favourite dynasty?

Given what we know about abiogenesis, the origin of life, it is quite sophisticated observation that our "parents" are a mix of sea water and fresh water. You might say, immaculate conception.

@geopixels6886 you mean, what it wasn't? It's a metaphor.

when you look at the state of the world when the dead sea scolls were discovered, it was not great, bible teachings had been largely forgotten, subverted and undermined. they gave a lot of credence to biblical corpus when we needed it the most.

The argument that it was too cold in December is not even an argument. Sheep live outside all year round.

This is very clever. Nice insights.

It is crazy that human history is essentially a roller coaster of chaos and order. Jewish-Roman tensions Chaos v Order

5:55 Taboo against incest, marry somebody with a different totem, so, if somebody is a dog lover, you should marry cat lover, likewise, if you support one football club, you should marry somebody who supports another.

As for the immaculate conception, again another metaphor for ancient worship, where life comes from nothing, life literally comes from mother Earth dead planet, which is an deemed immaculate conception. Jesus birth may or may not have been "immaculate" but the point is, that is the story. Given the tyrants were killing babies, it kind of made sense that somebody would claim their baby is special for whatever reason. Sheep are important in the story because most ppl like sheep killed their children as required by the government, but this baby was the start of enlightenment and rejection of arbitrary state doctrine. Jesus was "saved" because his parent decided he was "special".

I find it comical that Jews study non-canonical texts, meanwhile, Christians that only study the Pentateuch. Point being, we have more in common than we are different.

7:09 "A major climate event" Well, that is somewhat counter-narrative.

-2200BC +4.3 kiloyears (4300 years) = 2100AD Looks like we are due major climate event...?

Have you done a timeline of human history? I would quite like to see your take on that.

First there was nothing, then God said, let there be light (the big bang), the planets were formed, the Earth was formed, but lifeless...... The virgin birth is a metaphor for mother Earth, a dead planet, giving birth to life. The immaculate conception is abiogenesis. The history of life before the sexes split (Adam and Eve). These stories are transposed onto historical figures. Jesus is the model human (he may or may not have been a real person, but was most likely based upon a real person).

It never ceases to amaze me how we spend so much time arguing about details we cannot possibly know, yet miss the bigger story, which is amazing, and the lessons taken from the ancient texts and stories. Namely how to live a good life, an ethical and moral life of meaning and virtue. Instead we debate and even fight endlessly over the minutia.

if you hear the way most ppl go on, they will tell you, not to speed or harm, because you will go to jail, not because, putting life in danger is a bad idea, but, because you will go to jail.
