@arthurrosa9403 I would say in some ways, maybe, of course the ideas are compelling emotionally, but it would be easy (lazy) to attribute reduced working hours to Marx, but, in reality it is mostly due to technological innovation and advances in understanding, transfer of knowledge and efficiency. It has been shown time and again that efficiency drops off massively when ppl work over 8 hours a day anyway. The only thing you need to fear, is monopoly formation and oligarchy. When there is one state, or one corporate entity everybody works for (aka soviet union, or chyna, or Venezuela or North Korea), then you will lose all your rights for sure.

@thecrossbow3370 Epic response. Though I think you picked a
false dicotomy with truth or money.
In my estimation, the real dicotomy is war or money. Money is simply an analogue for warfare, so in that sense, money and transaction is a replacement for slavery and subjugation. In case you misunderstand, I mean, in a world without money, we simply have warfare and poverty. It is possible to follow a path of truth, whilst still getting paid, you just have to have ethics and principles when engaging in business.
I think you are making a lot of assumptions about "elite" which are wrong, but obviously thats your opinion. They are driven by strong ideas of liberty. I propose you read Adam Smith, and Thomas Hobbes, and John Locke, to get a feel for the ideas of liberty. It seems clear to me, that pure self interest is what makes the world go round. It has been stated that America is not short of liberty, it is short on responsibility. There should be a statue of responsibility to balance out the statue of liberty.
