  5. Ethics and morals are not lacking in China, the issue is that they blindly derive their ethics and morality from "the glorious state", instead of thinking independently and critically. Nowhere is immune from this thinking, when you build a bridge, but you are never going to use it, why should you put any effort into making it durable? you will be paid the same either way. This is the heart of the issue of communism, that, you get the same outcome regardless of quality, so why bother putting in the extra effort or cost? Once your reputation, as an individual or business is tied to the construction, and you and your family depend on that, you start making the "correct" decisions. Capitalism is not immune either, since developers go bankrupt, yet their buildings and structures are still with us, and they are not up to the task, not fit for purpose.
