  7. The problem with "containing" or "censoring" or "fighting" fake news is that we all believe we hold the truth. A "fake account" is someone who is a political opponent or threat. "Fact checkers" are gatekeepers. What happens when the so called "fact checkers" have a highly motivated agenda to profit financially and politically, from "containing" or "censoring" or "fighting" fake news. p.s. it is remarkable that Russia (a country smaller than Facebook) controls America, via Facebook. Truly remarkable.

The problem is how fragile some ppl are these days they get offended at everything. The antidote to hate speech is better speech.   35. One solution to fake news would be to use "trusted oracles" based on blockchain technology such as Ethereum, Augur etc. --- Essentially ppl place bets on whether news is fact or fake. If community consensus is against your view, then you lose money, if consensus is with you then you keep your money plus take profits from ppl who bet that the fake news was fact. This assumes that truth is consensus which is normally a good approximation to the truth. One person v another person will never resolve a consensus problem since both sides hold 50% weight.
